FORWARD have invited me to attend their conference on child marriage in London on the 12th of March 2012.

Myrmidon are to release Harmattan as an e-book in March 2012.

The UK registered charity FORWARD have recently endorsed Harmattan and are to work alongside us with a view to both raising awareness about their important work in Africa and generating interest in the book. I am delighted by this news and am thrilled that Harmattan is to play a small part in the process of bringing about real change.

FORWARD (The Foundation for Women's Health, Research and Development) is an African Diaspora women's campaign and support charity which exists to transform harmful practices and to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights as central to the wellbeing of African women and girls.

Both Myrmidon and I look forward to developing our association with FORWARD.

The Arts Council of NI have awarded me a 'Buy Time Award' to help me develop my new novel,Tin Town.

David Torrans, of Belfast's only surviving independent bookstore No Alibis, has confirmed that he will provide a launch platform for Harmattan in spring 2012. David is a local hero and champion of writers, his ethos, premises and persona even having been woven/stolen/appropriated into a Colin Bateman novel! Myrmidon are now liaising with No Alibis regarding the Belfast launch. Date to be announced.

Myrmidon have decided that publication for Harmattan will be more timely in spring 2012, however advance copies will be available soon for reviewers.

I'm very pleased to receive the news that Ards Arts and the John Hewitt Society have awarded me a writer's bursary.
